Dear Readers,
Happy April to you! I hope the weather s a little better where you are than where I am.
This week has been quite busy with real-life work and grad school. I commenced my PhD studies in history in January. Unfortunately, it’s a lot more intensive than the Masters level is and consequently, I’ve had to cut into my writing time in order to catch up the academic articles that my thesis supervisor has asked me to read. Sigh. C’est la vie.
This weekend, I’ll be playing catch up and working on the first set of edits I’ve received back for my tennis novella. I have a few scenes to add, but I’m guessing we’ll end up with a piece that is roughly about 32-35K words. It was originally intended to be a short story, but Alex Georgiou has spoken. What Alex wants, Alex gets.
I have a July date in mind for it’s release and hope to time it to possibly coincide with Wimbledon. We’ll see how that goes. Can you believe that “More Than a Passing Shot” turns a year old in June? I certainly can’t.
The plan for the remainder of this week is to also finish the first chapter of Mia and Charlie’s story. . .which I’m excited to announce are the names of the lead female and male characters in my ice skating story. I hope to have some time to sit with them tomorrow.
Have a great week.
Best,
Tomi
