Dear Readers,
Happy 2023. Here we are into the second day of the new year. The holidays have flown by!
While it’s been bittersweet to put away the holiday décor, I’m excited to be able to begin pulling out my Valentine’s day and spring decorations.
Tomorrow is gearing up to be a big day. “The Great Austen Adventure” will officially release as an eBook on Amazon and in Kindle Unlimited. The paperback version is already available. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I consider it to be a love letter to Jane Austen fans.
These past two weeks, I’ve been able to make some good progress on Nora Toscani’s story. Her book will likely be the next to release in summer. I’ll also have an announcement with my next short story coming out in the coming weeks.
Nora’s story is still in the first draft phase and is sitting just over 40,000 words right now. I imagine it will end up somewhere in the realm of 65,000-75,000 words. Although if she keeps giving me inspiration, it may be slightly longer than that.
Unfortunately, progress will slow later this week. I am transitioning to a new job and while it is only a part time, I will also be commencing studies as a full-time PhD student.
I’m thrilled, yet I haven’t exactly figured out how I’m going to balance writing, working part time, and being a full-time student. But I can’t imagine it will be nearly as challenging as it was working full-time, studying for my Masters part-time, and writing these past two years.
Everything is do-able, but the first few weeks of course will just require some adjustments.
With that being said, writing is an important priority for me. I will continue to publish at least two books per year and at least one short story even if it means many sleepless nights.
You, my readers mean so much to me.
Hope you all have a wonderful first week of the year.
Best,
Tomi
